Complete renovation of the mixing plant at Fuchs in Zeithain
In July 2025, the comprehensive modernization of the concrete mixing plant at the Zeithain precast plant was successfully completed. With its new plant, Fuchs is setting standards in terms of efficiency, precision, and sustainability.
The foundation for the project was laid in July 2022 with a precise 3D scan of the tower plant. Detailed planning began in early 2024 with the goal of transforming the tried-and-tested plant into a state-of-the-art mixing plant.
Two new powerhouses: Kniele KKM 1000/1500 cone mixers
At the heart of the new plant are two Kniele KKM1000/1500 cone mixers, each with a fresh concrete output of 1 m³ for maximum performance. The new state-of-the-art equipment includes:
Automatic high-pressure cleaning
Compulsory dust extraction from the mixer
Process monitoring via camera
Swivel chutes for flexible concrete distribution.
40 meters up: New double belt conveyor system in the tower
The feeding system has been completely redesigned: a double belt conveyor with a height of almost 40 meters reliably transports the material upwards. A new addition is a discharge belt with a rotary distributor for precise distribution of the aggregates.
High-precision dosing: New weighing technology across the board
The entire weighing technology has been modernized to optimize mixing accuracy:
New aggregate scale with double distribution
New cement, water, and additive scales
New cement screw conveyor for efficient conveying routes.
Safe and smart: state-of-the-art cement silo equipment
The new cement silo equipment offers maximum operational reliability:
High-performance filter
Binder loosening
Emergency shut-off systems
Level indicator and pressure detector.
Digital control & smart concrete logistics
The new Bikotronic control system brings digitalization to the plant. The new bucket conveyor from WMW serves four production lines. Swiveling mixer chutes ensure maximum flexibility in concrete distribution.
A secure footing for the future: mixer platform completely renovated
The existing mixer platform has not been forgotten either: the surface coating has been completely renewed and now ensures even greater safety and durability in daily operation.
