Polymer and cement-based fiber-reinforced composite materials for sandwich slabs

The external concrete layers of sandwich panels are often connected through metallic elements. These connectors tend to cause thermal bridging effects. This article introduces an innovative solution for precast sandwich slabs as part of a modular housing system.

The main reason for using sandwich panels in building construction is the structural and thermal efficiency that can be achieved with this technology.
