On September 17, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Solid Unit, the network for climate-neutral construction with mineral-based building materials, will host the web seminar “Climate Resilience – A New Challenge for Planners.”
The seminar will be held in German. It will focus on dealing with increasingly extreme weather events and their impact on the construction sector.
The seminar offers practical insights and expert presentations by:
- Prof. Dietmar Walberg (Working Group for Contemporary Building e.V.): Climate protection, climate change … and more!
- Dr. Anica Mayer (Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments) and Josef Eichinger (Technical University of Munich): Climate performance of buildings: methods, applications, and future strategies for climate adaptation in construction
- Andreas Grabow (Grabow + Zech Architects BDA and Engineers GmbH): Krügelpark – A climate-resilient residential district
- Dr. Ann-Margret Amui-Vedel (City of Kehl): Climate-resilient cities – Theory and practice
- Stephan Klemens (Mall GmbH): Sponge city projects – Technical components and implementation
The event is aimed at professionals in the fields of architecture and engineering, clients, construction and supply companies, as well as students and teaching staff in related disciplines.
The seminar has been submitted for recognition as continuing education by the chambers of architects, chambers of engineers, and the German Energy Agency (dena).
Participation costs €69 for non-members and €39 for members of Solid Unit. Students and teaching staff may attend free of charge.
