The connections between precast elements play a fundamental role in the overall performance of the structure, especially if seismic applications are considered. In fact, precast connections represent a critical link where structural continuity is ­needed. With regard to this requirement, Peikko carried out a wide-ranging experimental research program in cooperation with Politecnico di Milano.
