CSC Gold certification for Bachl Betonwerke

Bachl Betonwerke is delighted to have received gold certification from the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) for its Deching and Hengersberg sites and to have achieved the CSC-R module at gold level.
Responsible use of resources
This award confirms the responsible use of resources and guarantees social, ecological and economic sustainability along the entire value chain. There are currently only a few companies in Germany that hold a CSC Gold certificate. Now Karl Bachl Betonwerke GmbH & Co. KG.
‘We are incredibly proud of this award and the opportunities we have created to increasingly protect the environment,’ says Wolfgang Paul, Managing Director of Karl Bachl Betonwerke GmbH & Co. KG. The first site was certified at silver level in spring 2024. Further plants followed in autumn 2024. For some years now, the Bachl Group has increasingly focussed on measures to ensure the sustainable future of the company. These changes have now led to Karl Bachl Betonwerke being awarded CSC Gold certification.
Comprehensive investments
The certification is the result of the Group's extensive investments in energy-efficient and ecological production processes and innovative technologies. It assesses the ecological sustainability of construction sites in terms of resource procurement and conservation, transport, use of materials, protection of biodiversity and avoidance of pollutants. Social responsibility also plays a central role. The CSC R module in the Gold level, Level 2, ensures that at least 20 per cent by volume of recycled material (RC material) is used in the declared concrete mix designs.
‘However, closely monitoring the supply chain, optimising our production processes and expanding our product portfolio to include R-concrete are just the beginning,’ promises Wolfgang Paul. In its recently published sustainability report, the Group set itself the central goal of reducing its CO2 footprint and thus making its contribution to the decarbonisation of the industry.
