At this year’s general meeting in Ichtershausen, the Fachvereinigung Betonfertiggaragen e. V. bid farewell to two long-standing board members and elected two new members to the board. In addition, current topics from the Technical Committee and the Marketing Committee were on the agenda.

The general meeting took place in Ichtershausen at the invitation of supporting member Hörmann KG Verkaufsgesellschaft. According to the association, 30 participants attended, representing more than 85% of the membership.

A Generational Transition on the Board

Matthäus Moser (Laumer Bautechnik GmbH) and Manfred Kruse (Juwel Betonbauteile GmbH) stepped down from the board after 17 and 12 years, respectively. Leon Baumgärtner (Gebrüder Ott Betonwerke GmbH & Co. KG) and Patrick Kruse (Juwel Betonbauteile GmbH) were unanimously elected as their successors by the general meeting.

“Our industry thrives on a strong community and mutual exchange. That is precisely why the work of the trade association is so important: Together, we can represent the interests of our members, advance key issues, and help shape the future of our industry,” explained the two new board members.

Insights into Production at Hörmann

The agenda for the general meeting also included a tour of Hörmann’s production facilities. Participants gained insights into the manufacturing process and were able to observe how flat steel coils are transformed into the custom doors and gates later displayed in the showroom. The evening before, Axel Becker, Head of Sales and Marketing at Hörmann, gave a presentation on leadership and opportunities for success. A guided tour of Erfurt rounded out the program.

Focus on Technical Rules and Public Relations

In addition to the association’s bylaws, the Technical Committee and the Marketing Committee reported on their current priorities. Among other things, a revision of the technical rules for roof waterproofing of precast concrete garages is planned for the coming year. Another priority is the association’s online presence. Among other things, the goal is to increase the relevance of the websites betonfertiggaragen.de and besser-beton-fertiggarage.de for AI-based search systems. Additionally, garagen-galerie.de will place greater emphasis on the design diversity of precast concrete garages.

The Professional Association of Precast Concrete Garages represents the interests of its members and promotes exchange within the industry. The general meeting serves as a platform for collaborative association work, personal exchange, and the further development of technical topics.
