Glatthaar Group increases turnover and plans new precast plant

The Glatthaar Group, headquartered in Schramberg-Waldmössingen in Germany, has successfully completed the business year of 2022. The overall turnover of the Glatthaar Group increased to 266 million euros, an increase of around 20 % from the previous year. The number of employees has also increased. Considering the major changes in framework conditions, the company founder, Joachim Glatthaar, is cautiously optimistic.

Manpower increases to 640 employees

Last year, Glatthaar Starwalls put into service the first plant for 3D printing of concrete elements at the Walmössingen location.

In the business year of 2022, according to the Executive Business Manager, Reiner Heinzelmann, the Glatthaar Group had a total of 640 employees – a substantial plus over the previous year. In addition, there are 153 erection teams, comprising a total of 440 employees, who erect the precast basements on behalf of the Glatthaar Group throughout Europe. Since its foundation, Glatthaar Keller has implemented a total of more than 79,000 projects.

Joachim Glatthaar is satisfied that Glatthaar Keller can look back on an all-in-all successful year of 2022. In view of the current general framework conditions – such as rising interest rates for construction loans, reduction of housing promotion activities as well as high inflation and general economic uncertainty – a certain reluctance to engage in newbuild activities can, however, be felt. By extending its service portfolio, for example, to earthworks or by supporting its in-house partners in multi-story building, Glatthaar expects for 2023 a similar business performance as in 2022.

Newbuild of a modern precast plant planned

Investments in sustainability are at the very top of the Glatthaar Group’s agenda, also in the current year. These include extension of the corporate fleet with electric vehicles, installation of solar panel systems on new administration and production buildings for regenerative electric power generation and beginning of construction on a new state-of-the-art production facility for precast elements, which enables marked CO2 savings in production of basement walls.
