bauma CTT RUSSIA 2018

The bauma CTT Russia 2018 trade fair held in the Russian capital city of Moscow is one of this year‘s most important platforms for the international construction machinery and construction engineering industry. The main focus will be on the market of the host nation Russia of the trade fair which will take place from June 05 to 08, 2018.

The latest economic signals from the world‘s largest country in terms of area are positive. The Association of European Businesses (AEB), for example, reported in February 2018 that sales of construction machinery in the Russian Federation increased by 45% last year as against 2016. The AEB is an association of European companies with branches in Russia.

Despite this pleasant return to the growth track, German construction machinery manufacturers, for example, are not yet back where they once had been in terms of sales in the once booming Russian market, according to the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). „However, we are confident that the market will continue to pick up and that the trade fair, which we have been supporting for years, will provide additional good business impetus,“ said Franz-Josef Paus, Chairman of the VDMA Association of Construction Machinery and Building Material Equipment Manufacturers. According to observations of the VDMA, crawler excavators and backhoe loaders are currently especially in great demand, among others.
