(57) Disclosed are a system and method for connecting a precast column to a precast beam and method therefor. The system provides precast moment resisting connection for buildings using post tensioning for joining or connecting the precast column and precast beam thereby forming a stronger connection. The post tension connections of a strand help in building concrete structures having high structural and lateral stability allowing them to withstand even in the seismic zones. In another aspect, the invention provides a method for establishing a moment resisting connection of a precast column to a precast beam.
