In Germany, well over half of urban traffic surfaces in both the municipal and private sectors are surfaced by means of concrete block and slab pavements. There are repeated incidents of damage despite the fact that Germany has a comprehensive set of technical guidelines and standards in place.

From 21 January 2021, EIPOS, in cooperation with the Chair of Road Construction of the TU Dresden, will for the 5^th time offer an in-service training program in paving construction that is unique throughout Germany.
