2013 Results:
Increase in cement sales

Heidelberg Cement presented the preliminary figures for the full year 2013. The sales volumes of cement, clinker and blast-furnace slag rose by 2.6 % from 89.0 million tons in 2012 to 91.3 million tons in 2013. The ongoing recovery in North America and the additional capacities available in India, Africa, Russia and Australia were the crucial factors for the increase, as stated by the corporation. The emerging recovery in Great Britain also had a positive impact.
