Construction of surfaces for public thoroughfares using different surface layers

We first reported on the commissioned Comparative Ecological Balance Study in BFT INTERNATIONAL 04/2009. This essay will into detail on parameters and results of this study. Concrete goods performed better than other materials used for pavements.

The investigation was carried out by the well-known and accredited organisation PE INTERNATIONAL GmbH on behalf of BetonMarketing Deutschland GmbH and the concrete association SLG. It also underwent a Critical Review in accordance with ISO 14040 by an independent group of experts (Review Panel). The results were first published in December 2008.
