Strabag AG Germany is a new member of Solid Unit, the nationwide network for climate-neutral construction with mineral building materials. The company not only brings decades of experience in infrastructure construction to the table, but also a clear focus on innovation and sustainability.
As part of the European Strabag Group, Strabag AG Germany employs around 14,000 people and is the market leader in transport infrastructure construction. The company aims to become climate-neutral along the entire value chain by 2040.
Strong partnership for sustainable infrastructure
"It is a great pleasure to welcome Strabag as a new partner in the Solid Unit network. We are united by our shared conviction that sustainability must also play an increasingly central role in transport infrastructure construction. Strong alliances are also necessary in civil engineering to give the important issue of sustainable infrastructure more weight and visibility. Strabag shows that efficient infrastructure and climate protection can go hand in hand," explained Thomas Zawalski, Managing Director of Solid Unit e. V.
"As a construction group, we have a duty to lay the foundations for tomorrow's construction today. Climate-neutral construction is not a trend for us, but a necessity in order to make our industry fit for the future. By joining Solid Unit e. V., we want to actively contribute to the further development of sustainable solutions with mineral building materials and, together with strong partners, drive forward the transformation of the construction industry," said Peter Hübner, CEO of Strabag AG.
