Doka has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative—the world's largest initiative for responsible corporate behavior. With this step, Doka joins thousands of companies worldwide that are committed to responsible business practices and want to contribute to sustainable development.
The UN Global Compact calls on companies worldwide to achieve alignment of their business activities and strategies with ten universally recognized principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment, and anti-corruption, and to take measures to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the world's largest initiative for corporate sustainability. It includes more than 20,000 companies in over 160 countries and more than 60 national Global Compact networks.
"Net zero by 2040 is Doka's clear strategic goal. Joining the United Nations Global Compact is therefore a logical next step that further strengthens this path and—together with our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative—shows that we are taking the right steps toward this goal," explains Robert Hauser, CEO of Doka.
By joining the UN Global Compact, Doka becomes part of a global network of companies committed to responsible business practices. As a participant, Doka reports transparently on its progress in implementing the ten principles and contributes to the promotion of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption—alongside leading companies in the construction and engineering industry such as Skanska, Vinci, Strabag, and Bouygues Construction.
