Peikko Gulf‘s success story in Ras Al Khaimah continues

Finnish supplier Peikko celebrated the opening of its new plant, Peikko Gulf LLC, in the United Arab Emirates in February 2020 and has been on a growth trajectory ever since. It now has another branch in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, called Al Khobar, which employs ten people.

Around 120 employees from 19 countries

Peikko Gulf employs around 120 people from 19 countries. According to the manufacturer, Peikko‘s product range in the Middle East is unique, and the new plant‘s capabilities will enable the company to meet customer demands for short delivery times and offer excellent technical support from a modern office.

“Peikko has been present in the Middle East for more than fifteen years. The construction project for the new factory building has been successfully completed, and we now have completely new production capacities at our disposal to supply our customers,” says Radovan Endel, Managing Director of Peikko Gulf LLC.

“Our subsidiary in Ras Al Khaimah has developed excellently since its establishment. This gives us a unique opportunity to serve our customers. The location in Ras Al Khaimah is ideal for us to expand our business activities in the Middle East in the coming years,” explains Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.

Renewed capacity expansion

Peikko Gulf LLC recently increased its production capacity at its Ras Al Khaimah site by 30 to 40%. The expansion included the long-term lease of an 11,000 m² adjacent plot of land, the extension of the existing factory buildings, and several new machines. The expansion became fully operational in the third quarter of 2024.

Peikko Gulf manufactures both precast connections and Deltabeam composite beams in Ras Al Khaimah. Peikko‘s offering in the Middle East is unique, and thanks to the capabilities offered by the expanded facilities, the company can meet its customers‘ tight delivery deadlines and provide solid technical support from its modern offices.

Investing up to €3 million

Peikko Gulf LLC continues to invest – up to €3 million (AED 13 million) to significantly expand its manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates, adding 2,000 m² of new production space and state-of-the-art machinery to meet rapidly growing regional demand for innovative construction solutions. The expansion of Peikko Gulf LLC is expected to be fully operational starting in Q2/2026.

The expansion comes as the UAE and broader Middle East experience a construction boom driven by population growth, economic diversification initiatives, and major infrastructure investments. The investment will significantly increase manufacturing capacity for Deltabeam Composite Beams, innovative steel-concrete hybrid beams that enable slim floor construction with wide open spaces. Peikko‘s Deltabeam technology offers particular advantages, enabling faster construction schedules and more efficient building designs with reduced material usage.

Numerous successful reference projects

Peikko Gulf has already completed numerous successful reference projects in its 15 years of operation. Here is a selection:

RAK Precast is located in heart of UAE, (Dubai Industrial City) near Sheikh Maktoum International Airport. The factory is well equipped with all production facilities with latest European technologies, to deliver the top quality products & to reduce time & cost. Their focus is on producing green sustainable buildings. The construction of the factory is made by using Peikko‘s column shoes and anchor bolts.

Khalifa Port is the flagship state of the art gateway to Abu Dhabi and handles all of Abu Dhabi‘s container traffic. The four main warehouses of the Port handle 12 million tons of cargo, and their flooring is done by Peikko‘s Terajoint Solution (Flooring products).

Arabtec Precast LLC has started its operations in 2004 and is specialized in the design, production and erection of precast and prestressed concrete products. Their new factory in Dubai was erected with Peikko‘s column shoes and anchor bolts (Anchor bolts and Column Shoes).

Sharjah Cement Factory was established in UAE in 1977 and it is the market leader in the production of its Portland cement and GGBS products. The clinker storage shed was build using Peikko‘s column connections (Anchor bolts and Column Shoes).

The Warehouse City located in Umm Al Quwain free trade zone, the UAE, is a massive complex of 30 warehouse buildings. The flooring of these modern and large storage buildings was made with 2,3 kilometers of Peikko‘s Terajoint, a prefabricated leave-in-place joint system designed to build formed free-movement joints. It is suitable for all large-area construction methods for ground-bearing and pile-supported concrete floors.

The Manar Mall is the first and largest Shopping Mall in Ras Al Khaimah. Manar Mall is undergoing an expansion of approximately 30,000 square meters which will almost double its leasable area. Peikko‘s Column Connections were used in designing and building phase of this project. Significant quantities of Peikko‘s HPKM Column Shoes and HPM Anchor Bolts were delivered to site by Peikko Gulf.
