Save the date: BIBM Congress 2020 – precast success in Nordic countries
The BIBM Congress 2020 will take place in Copenhagen – as announced by the congress organizer, the Federation of European Precast Concrete: Bureau International du Béton Manufacturé” (BIBM). The BIBM board of directors has unanimously entrusted FBF Beton-dienst GmbH, organizers of large trade congresses, such as the BetonTage in Germany and China, with the organization. The technical medium BFT International is the exclusive media partner of BIBM Congress 2020.
The Congress will take place from 06 to 08 May 2020 in the Danish capital. The venue is the Tivoli Congress Center, a modern precast building in the center, with short distances and a new event concept: instead of tailoring the congress as before, following the principle of a call for papers, this congress will develop a focus of its own on exemplary proj-ects implemented with precast concrete elements in the Nordic countries Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The associate associations have already proposed promising ideas, lectures and projects. The next finishing touch will be given jointly at the BIBM Communication Commission meeting in October. A first overview of topics will be published in the next issue of the trade journal BFT International.
In addition to the program of lectures, the organizers of 2020 will offer a comprehensive partner program as well as two technical excursions. The first excursion will take the participants to precast plants and precast construction sites in the environs of Copenhagen, where they will obtain insights into production and erection situations in Scandinavia. The second excursion will take architects to outstanding buildings and highlights of urban development in the trendy North European metropolis.
Trade exhibition in the Tivoli Congress Center
The Congress will, of course, once again be accompanied by a comprehensive exhibition by the supplier industry. The manufacturers of machinery and equipment as well as parts and materials for the manufacture of precast products will have the opportunity there to showcase their products and services to the congress participants. Participation and floor space are expected to be bookable beginning in November and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
