Results of the AWAREGIO project

The pilot plant of the AWAREGIO project has been in operation at the Moers-Gerdt waste-water treatment plant for about one year. The objective of the project is to enable the reuse of water and wastewater-derived nutrients in crop cultivation and fish farming by means of innovative, modular wastewater treatment processes. The wastewater treatment system relies on resource-efficient technologies and is intended to enable a high degree of flexibility with regard to reuse.
