New HB system

Wherever something is manufactured, solutions for material handling tasks and logistics activities have to be found, no matter whether a large manufacturing industrial enterprise is concerned or a small craft workshop. Abus Kransysteme offers tailor-made solutions to every of these customers on the basis of standard cranes and components up to loads of 120 tons.

One of the successful concepts in the field of lifting and material handling technology in the lower range of safe working load up to 2 tons is the Abus HB system – an overhead traveling crane system. This system combines the quality of a stationary hoist with the mobility of an overhead crane in an efficient and cost-effective manner. For more than 30 years, the customers of Abus can rely on the well-proven modular HB system, as it adapts to and fits in almost any space and hall geometry and, what is more, it grows with the customer’s demands thanks to its versatile extension potentials.

Tailor-made support ­structures

Three galvanized steel profiles with optimized overall heights as well as an aluminum profile, now available for the first time, provide for the high load capacities of the systems and for smooth and efficient material movement on the work stations. The newly designed trolleys minimize fatigue when working, as cranes and hoists can be moved in an even more effortless way, at a lower noise level. The new suspensions are also innovative. From the top, they can be integrated anywhere into the profile, reducing the load of the pendular movement by its rubber bearing that is free from wear. The new joint connection between the profiles is absolutely unique. It enables placing the profile joint anywhere, even directly beneath the suspension. The flexibility is consequently increased because the profiles and the basic components can be supplied ex warehouse.

The product range of Abus is completed by a comprehensive choice of tailor-made support structures for the connection of overhead traveling cranes. This provides the customer with components that are perfectly adjusted to each other from a single source.

Every Abus HB system is the result of individual customer support and consultation: in this way, a tailor-made HB crane solution is designed in line with the demand on the basis of standardized profiles, suspensions and connection systems.
