Building Information Modeling provides many benefits, which also applies to precast plants. Yet BIM is associated with a range of specific requirements for programs, users and parties involved in the project. What needs to be taken into account when introducing and using such a system?
Experts currently consider Building Information Modeling (BIM) to be the single most important trend in the construction industry that will fundamentally change building design and all related processes in the coming years (see also BFT International 01/2012, S. 46, “More efficient production and assembly”).
