Jury announced nominations
Dr. Dieter Brammertz, head of the jury announced the fifteen innovations nominated for the bauma Innovation Award 2010 at a press conference on the occasion of the bauma media dialogue. The award will be presented on the occasion of bauma, international trade fair for construction equipment, building material machinery, mining equipment, construction vehicles and construction tools in Munich.
The bauma Innovation Award is offered in five categories. From over 200 applications of national and international companies, the jury had selected three groundbreaking innovations per category for the final round. At the media dialogue editors from specialized international trade magazines will now decide on the five winners among these 15 nominations.
The award ceremony on 18 April, 2010 at Allerheiligen Hofkirche, the church belonging to the residence in Munich will be attended. Almost all innovations will be shown at bauma.
The jury of experts has paid particular attention to the following criteria: forward-looking development, high practical use, contribution to environment and humanization of work, improvement of efficiency and productivity while reducing energy and costs at the same time, image value for the construction equipment, building material machinery industry or the construction and building material sector.

In 2010, the innovation prize will be awarded for the ninth time. The competition is a common project driven by head associations of the German construction industry such as the German Engineering Federation VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V.), HDB (Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie e.V.), ZDB (Zentralverband des deutschen Baugewerbes e.V.) and BBS (Bundesverband Baustoffe – Steine und Erden e.V.) and bauma. ¢
