MC-Bauchemie has expanded its presence in Latin America with the establishment of MC-Bauchemie Paraguay S.A., a joint venture with local partner Plastizil S.A. The new company was officially founded on June 29, 2026, in Asunción.
From Distribution Partner to Direct Market Presence
The founding of MC-Bauchemie Paraguay marks the next stage in the long-standing collaboration between MC-Bauchemie and Plastizil S.A., a Paraguayan construction technology company with more than five decades of experience.
“The establishment of MC-Bauchemie Paraguay is an important step in our growth strategy for Latin America,” says Jaques Pinto, Regional Director for LATAM at MC-Bauchemie. “By combining MC’s international technology and expertise with the experience and strong market network of our local partners, we are creating a solid foundation for sustainable growth and more intensive customer service in Paraguay.”
Construction as a Growth Engine
According to the company, Paraguay offers growth potential due to economic stability, infrastructure expansion, urbanization, and rising industrial investment. “The construction sector has become one of the most important growth engines of the Paraguayan economy,” explains Jaques Pinto. MC-Bauchemie Paraguay is set to expand the company’s quotations in the local market.
Local Infrastructure and Leadership
MC-Bauchemie Paraguay began operations using existing local infrastructure for warehousing, production, and laboratory activities, as well as a local team. Gabriel Zillich (46) will take over the management of MC-Bauchemie Paraguay. Luis Zillich (71) was appointed managing director.
MC-Bauchemie Paraguay is part of the MC LATAM region under the regional leadership of MC-Bauchemie Brazil. The local management team reports to Jaques Pinto.
Expansion in South America
MC-Bauchemie entered the South American market at the beginning of the millennium and established a branch in Brazil more than 20 years ago. In recent years, additional subsidiaries have been added, including in Chile, Bolivia, and Peru. With the founding of MC-Bauchemie Paraguay S.A., the company states that it is now represented by its own subsidiaries in nearly all major South American markets.
