Innovation: Synfola Minpur concrete impregnation system

With Minpur P-IP 20 and Minpur P-IP Perl, Synfola presents a concrete impregnation system that can be used to finish surfaces while still in the fresh state – without causing any undesirable staining. The product will be presented to the expert community during the industry meeting of the 66th BetonTage congress taking place in Ulm from 21 to 23 June, 2022.

With the newly developed Minpur P-IP 20 and P-IP Perl products, it is possible, for the first time, to impregnate concrete elements at the precast plant, cast-in-situ concrete on site, and freshly placed concrete pavements while still in the fresh state. The innovative formulation successfully prevents the previously normal, undesirable stains developing when impregnating a moist base. The ingredients of the impregnation agent permit work on concrete elements, cast-in-situ concrete or concrete floors even after the base has been treated. According to the manufacturer, this is difficult or no longer possible at all without having an adverse effect on the visual appearance of the base when using other impregnation systems. The new impregnation system is suitable for use on all seamless indoor and outdoor mineral surfaces, such as concrete, cement or stone in warehouses, production facilities or exhibition halls – but also in private homes.

The new impregnation materials are part of the Synfola Minpur product system and are compatible with all concrete coating and concrete cosmetics systems.

Synfola considers a product to be innovative if it is new for the company and the market. The new Minpur impregnation systems score multiple points as they can be applied in the freshly demolded state. Concrete elements are protected right after demolding. They can be stored outdoors without developing the usualwater flow marks or stains. Concrete parts – elements, staircases or floors – impregnated at an early stage dry out less quickly, thus minimizing the development of shrinkage cracks in the concrete skin. In addition, undesirable soiling of concrete floors or staircases can be prevented if the surfaces are impregnated and covered immediately after installation.
