Hardox WearpartsNetwork Meeting

This year’s meeting of the Hardox Wearparts Centers of the Swedish steel manufacturer SSAB was held on 30 and 31 March at the company Pucest protect in Elsenfeld, in the district of Lower Franconia in Bavaria, Germany. Hardox Wearparts is the international network of companies with the capacity to manufacture wear parts from Hardox quality steel plate. Only companies that have the necessary technical expertise in processing Hardox quality wear parts and that operate the required machine park are permitted to use the Hardox Wearparts quality mark.

There are currently more than 270 SSAB-certified Hardox Wearparts Centers worldwide that belong to this network, owing to their production facilities and their high-quality processing of Hardox, the special construction steel.

Exchange of experience

Once a year a meeting of the Centers is organized in one of the individual sales regions to present innovations and to exchange user experiences. This ensures that the customers will obtain the best solutions and consultations for their applications. A total of 50 guests from Sweden, Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Slovenia participated in the event.

In addition to Hardox, Pucest protect, the host, took the opportunity to introduce itself to its guests. The company has become firmly established with its innovative solutions for resisting wear. Managing Director Detlef Bauer discussed solutions and repair systems for durable protection from wear with the company’s own development, the material Pucest, which is optimized for the requirements presented by the demands of extreme wear. The material is effectively able to resist mechanical wear and performs outstandingly well with respect to resistance to elongation and tensile strength at break. The low weight, sound insulation, capability of repair, and simple installation are other great advantages.
