FIFA World Cup 2014: Structural design for a new stadium
The new Corinthians Stadium is being built in the Itaquera district of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The stadium has 65,800 seats; it will be the venue of the opening match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. After the World Cup, it will be home to the Corinthians Football Club and serve as a venue for major events, which is supported by the fact that it also includes a congress center and shopping facilities.
