Halfen

Company receives award as innovation leader

Halfen GmbH, one of the leading suppliers of connection equipment, has a particularly strong focus on innovation. On 26 June 2015, the company received the “Top 100” seal of approval for innovation at the German SME Summit.

Halfen points out that the business is built upon the team spirit of its employees who implement their ideas of new products, technologies and processes – and ultimately achieve market success. Halfen employees have created an innovation network that goes far beyond the confines of Germany and encompasses all company sites worldwide. Key facilitators at the corporate headquarters, who represent all departments of the company, coordinate the process from the original idea to its implementation. Halfen states that the use of project management tools as well as regular communications between people are important success drivers. Also, cooperation with customers and partners always begins at the earliest possible stage.

Thanks go to all employees

Richard Wachter, Managing Director at Halfen, considers the “Top 100” award to be a very special achievement: “Innovation is a management responsibility. Each and every Halfen employee is an innovation manager who takes responsibility for their own success. This is why I am grateful to all our employees for having received the ‘Top 100’ award. This is another important step toward our common goal to expand our business even further under the ‘Your Best Connections’ claim.”

The “Top 100” seal of approval is awarded to German medium-sized businesses that demonstrate an outstanding ability to innovate. To identify the companies that meet this criterion, the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration evaluated the innovation performance of 302 medium-sized enterprises over a period of several months.
