The history of the company dates back to 1980, when Isola Bauchemie GmbH was founded. This family-owned business based in Eastern Westphalia was subsequently acquired by Readymix Kies + Beton AG, which, in turn, was taken over by Cemex, one of the leading international construction materials companies, in 2005. In the course of the acquisition, the construction chemicals producer was renamed to Cemex Admixtures GmbH and became a subsidiary of Cemex Europe.
