The objectives of the architect were to establish, first, a reference between the outer appearance of the plant building and the products – spectacles – to be manufactured inside upon completion, as well as a reference specifically to the lenses of which the products are made. Second, the architect intended to emphasize the uncompromising high quality standard demanded by the client and his customers for the products manufactured in the building.
