Innovation spirit in the precast industry
After a break of one year due to Corona, dear readers, the Innovation Prize of the Supplier Industry for Concrete Components will once again be awarded within the scope of the 66th Betontage in February 2022. Just recently, the application portfolios were put on my desk, as a member of the jury of experts. I can already tell you here – the remarkable 26 submissions confirmed the gratifying upward trend. This by no means refers only to the number, but also to the quality of many submissions. In this way, our sector of industry once again impressively demonstrates its innovation spirit; the winner or winners will be presented in BFT International after the Betontage.
Furthermore, you are warmly invited to participate in the two forums – Innovative Solutions from the Supplier Industry, on the first and/or the second day of the event, at the Congress Center in the Ulm Maritim Hotel. As moderator, I very much look forward to greeting you on the topical areas Sustainable Construction Materials & Processes, Innovative Processes & Installation Solutions, Sustainable Raw Materials & Concrete Chemistry as well as Innovative Fastening and Measurement Techniques.
The 23rd BIBM Congress in Copenhagen also presented a wide range of international innovations. Bauverlag, jointly with FBF Betondienst in the form of the new Building Congress Forum (BCF), was organizer of this event. Befitting the venue, the Scandinavian participants in particular showed numerous future-feasible developments and project examples from the precast sector. You will find the detailed post-event report beginning on p. 6.
