Education for pavement construction goes into the third round

Following the very successful completion in 2017 and 2018 of the first two continuing-education programs leading to qualification as specialist engineers, specialist planners, and specialist site supervisors for pavement construction, Eipos – the European Institute for Postgraduate Education at Dresden University of Technology (EIPOS) – has rung in the third round. The Institute will again be supported by partners from the first two programs: notably, Dresden Technical University, with its Department for Road Construction, and generous sponsors and supporters, including the SLG Concrete Association from Bonn and, of course, the competent team of instructors from the previous two courses.

The curriculum of the two first continuing education measures was extended by four modules involving tendering and calculation, and by four curriculum units for barrier-free building. The Educational Advisory Board reached this decision in response to participants’ suggestions from the previous course and from the construction industry.

The third program will begin on 17 January 2019, with the final examination and award of certificates on 10 May 2019. The number of participants is restricted to 19 for organizational reasons. More information can be obtained at //www.eipos.de" target="_blank" >www.eipos.de:www.eipos.de.
