(57) A method of manufacturing a composite concrete panel, comprising the steps of: forming an aerated concrete composition by adding a foaming agent to a concrete mixture and mixing the composition to substantially evenly distribute the foaming agent through the composition; providing a cavity in which the panel is to be formed; inserting the aerated concrete composition into the cavity; and pressurizing the panel during curing by contacting external surfaces of the panel against the cavity during curing, whereby air bubbles present in the aerated concrete mixture are compressed to a smaller and more uniform size.
