Bundled IT security - transfer point in medium-sized business (TISiM)
Digitization can make many work processes in companies significantly more efficient and simpler. This applies equally to big players
and small companies. At the same time, however, this increases the potential attack surface and, accordingly, the danger of cyber attacks.
Small- and medium-sized companies are especially challenged by this situation. Scarce resources paired with a flood of virtually unmanageable numbers of offers
for IT security make it very difficult for small
companies without their own IT departments
to find the right offer for their operation.
To enable companies to confront this challenge, the Federal Ministry for Economic
Affairs and Energy has established the IT Security Transfer Point in Medium-Sized Business, TISiM for short. The transfer point
bundles existing offers and tools for IT security
and, following a requirement analysis, makes available a made-to-measure action
plant for IT security.
However, TISiM not only makes a tool available for covering companies’ own needs for security. TISiM is also a nationwide support
network. By April 2021, a total of 80 regional
service points – TISiM Regional – with personal
contact partners will be established. For
additional regional coverage, a TISiM Infobus will also travel the roads beginning in April 2021.
