Internationalization Award for Peikko

The President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, has granted Internationalization Awards for the year of 2021. The Award for the Growth Company of the Year was presented to Peikko on 19 November 2021. The annually granted award is a significant recognition to internationally successful Finnish companies. The evaluation criteria focus on international success, profitable growth, promotion of Finnish expertise, and the company’s ethical operations.

Since its establishment, Peikko has industrialized novel technologies and applications. For example, the company has developed a standardized solution for wind turbine foundations. Peikko has promoted circular economy with sustainable solutions by introducing environmentally friendly Deltabeam Green composite beams and connections that enable the dismantling and reuse of structures, among other innovations. This lays the foundation for lasting design and sustainable development in construction.

International business has grown continuously

Peikko’s international business has grown continuously in recent years, and the majority of the company’s turnover consists of international sales. Peikko has tripled its turnover in ten years, from EUR 78 million in 2010 to EUR 240 million in 2020. International business accounted for nearly EUR 200 million.

The award from the President of the Republic of Finland is a remarkable honor for the entire Peikko community of over two thousand people working in 34 countries. “The long-term work for growth, internationalization and particularly for our customers will continue full steam ahead,” says Topi Paananen, CEO and entrepreneur of Peikko Group Corporation.
