Experimental investigations on pipe joints and precast tunnel lining segments –

Overview

The aim of the current research project on highly stressed joints in tunnel construction, undertaken by the Department of concrete structures at TUM, is to experimentally verify the approach for the permissible compressive stress scal in unreinforced pipe joints, and to identify load-bearing reserves in the verification of partial area compression on reinforced longitudinal lining segment joints with large eccentricities.
