Concrete Show 2012

Continued path of growth

Expectations continue to be high regarding Brazil as a growing market: This year, more than 550 Brazilian and international exhibitors and about 29,000 visitors attended the sixth Concrete Show in São Paulo.

Even Brazilian experts had to cut their forecasts of gross national product growth. According to various estimates, the Brazilian economy is expected to grow by ‘only’ 3 or 4% in the full year of 2012.

Yet these are prospects that US citizens or Europeans can only dream of, given that they are currently trying to overcome the repercussions of the global economic crisis. Similarly, the anticipated growth rates of the Brazilian construction industry might look like a dream to them: This sector is also expected to grow by 4% this year.
