Powerful electric current pulses through the mains of the aluminum smelter in Straumsvik, Iceland. This makes the installation of the reinforced-concrete cable combs risky, because the induction currents can heat up the reinforcing steel up to 400°C. The concrete bursts and becomes unstable. This cannot happen with the ComBAR from Schöck. Electromagnetic fields leave the non-conductive glassfiber reinforcement cold.
