Karl Bachl Betonwerke GmbH & Co. KG and Karl Bachl Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH & Co. KG will remain part of the Bavarian Environment and Climate Pact for another three years. The two companies of the Bachl Group received certificates to this effect during an official ceremony in Deching near Röhrnbach.

District Administrator Sebastian Gruber praised the commitment of both business units to environmental and climate protection. “The issue of the environment and climate plays a significant role throughout the entire production chain and involves a considerable amount of effort that must be undertaken and reflected within the company,” said Gruber. He also expressed his gratitude for the company’s entrepreneurial commitment to the region and its long-standing loyalty to the local community.

Focus on Resource Conservation and the Circular Economy

Bachl CEO Michael Küblbeck and Advisory Board Chairman Karl Bachl thanked District Administrator Gruber for presenting the certificates and for his commitment to the economy in the Freyung-Grafenau district. “We are proud to have received this distinction again for our efforts and to be able to continue using it. For years, it has been a priority for us to work for the environment and the climate,” explained Küblbeck.

According to the company, environmental, social, and economic measures are developed and implemented by Sustainability Manager Dr. Adela Lankl.

In the plastics sector, the company focuses on extending the product life cycle. For example, construction site offcuts and production waste are returned to the material cycle.

According to the company, Betonwerke’s more sustainably oriented products include, among others, paving stones manufactured with lower resource consumption as well as R-concrete. According to the company, this product is characterized by a reduction in CO₂ emissions and its contribution to the circular economy.

The Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact is an agreement between the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian business community. Participation is based on voluntary participation, personal responsibility, and cooperation and is valid for three years at a time.
