Precast concrete construction: proven and fit for future

„Construction methods and materials of tomorrow“ – the motto of this year’s bauma trade fair held in Munich reflects, as hardly anything else, the dynamics at Weckenmann Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co. KG: In addition to the wide variety of new developments, there have also recently been changes in the management team – Hermann Weckenmann had retired, Wolfgang Weckenmann and Martin Schatz are now steering the company in dual leadership and with Greta Weckenmann they also introduce the third generation. All this backs and supports the future-oriented alignment of the long-established company, presenting itself – in the 65th year of business – at bauma as a strong partner for the development and implementation of new construction concepts.

“New ways” – so brief, so concisely reads this year’s motto of Weckenmann Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co. KG at bauma. As a result, the new leaders not only express the willingness, but above all the ability for the process of change, the construction industry needs now. Because along with the respective competence in manufacturing machinery and equipment, Weckenmann also has accumulated know-how in process engineering and logistics for the construction industry. This fits the bauma trade fair, which showcases at the Munich exhibition ground everything that is needed for successful construction in the future – for the 33rd time now. In addition, topics such as technological partnerships for new construction concepts, serial construction, but also modernization and retrofitting of existing plants are on the trade fair agenda of the Weckenmann team.

Weckenmann sets impetus for sustainable concepts

The experts have already been enriching their long-time competence in the manufacture of machinery and equipment, logistics and process engineering with a lot of innovativeness, for a long time: This means that Weckenmann is well prepared in case of a further disproportionate increase in demand for high-quality precast concrete elements. Bauma proves to be an optimal venue to showcase innovations and well-proven solutions. Not least innovative compaction systems for all kinds of application will be presented, with the experts being happy to explain their conceptual design as well as their retrofitability to potential customers on site. In addition, plant concepts for the production of modern construction concepts will be presented, being just one of many ideas related to all matters around sustainable construction, such as plants for the production of precast concrete elements with carbon fiber reinforcement. The trade fair team of Weckenmann, moreover, is looking forward to the dialog on topics and/or questions such as “Automation”, “What contribution can the precast concrete industry make for more sustainability”, “Which future-oriented possibilities are included in new concepts for plants, materials or in serial construction?” or “How can the modernization of plants optimize the use of resources and costs?”

All these are buzzwords which are not only examples for the inventiveness at Weckenmann, but which make the family-run company to a very interesting employer – also for the young generation. It is the combination of “new ways” and proven technology of Weckenmann that perfectly corresponds with this year’s bauma key topics such as “digital construction site” or “the road to zero emission”.

It is almost self-evident that in particular at a bauma there will always be something new in respect of automation too: The Dormettingen-based company is presenting its latest generation of a modular WAvisionplus master computer and control solution. Prospective customers will get further information on machinery and future topics in Hall B1 at stand 113.
