BlueMolds is a manufacturer of molds for prefabricated concrete elements, recognized by customers worldwide. The foundation of its product range consists of molds for interlocking concrete blocks, which, with various inserts, provide users with great flexibility and a wide range of possibilities in the production of concrete elements.

Thanks to the experience gained through many years of cooperation with customers, as well as our engineering knowledge, the construction of BlueMolds molds has been continuously improved and refined over the years. Today, the supplier can confidently say that it meets even the strictest customer requirements when it comes to dimensional accuracy and durability. One of the greatest advantages of this construction is the possibility of using a large number of different inserts on one basic mold model, enabling the production of as many as 15 different castings from a single mold. With only one BlueMolds mold measuring 160x80x80 cm and the appropriate range of inserts, the user can produce the following blocks:

Without inserts – standard interlocking block 160x80x80 cm

The basic configuration of the BlueMolds 160x80x80 cm mold is intended for the production of a standard interlocking concrete block. The standard interlocking block is ideal for the construction of storage bays, retaining walls and fences, recycling material storage areas, as well as foundations and partitions in industrial halls.

With vertical divider – smaller dimension blocks

By adding a vertical divider, the BlueMolds mold gains the ability to produce smaller dimension concrete blocks, including half-blocks. In this way, the same mold becomes significantly more flexible and adapts to different construction requirements, without the need for additional tools or special molds. Smaller blocks play an important role in the finishing sections of a wall, where precise fitting of elements is often required in order to complete a row neatly and accurately.

With flat plate divider – blocks with a flat top surface

The flat plate divider enables the production of concrete blocks with a completely flat upper surface, without the characteristic protrusions present on standard interlocking concrete blocks. In this way, the final row receives a clean, neat, and aesthetically finished appearance, without the need for additional processing or finishing elements. Blocks produced with the help of this divider are ideal for projects where the final appearance has equal importance as functionality.

With 45° divider – sloped blocks

With the 45° divider, the mold enables the production of sloped concrete blocks that are used for the final sloped layer of a structure. These blocks are particularly practical for storage areas, yards, and other projects where easier access, water drainage, or adaptation to changes in terrain slope is required. Their shape enables simple integration with standard blocks.

With stair insert – blocks with steps

The stair divider is a practical insert that enables the production of concrete blocks with two to four steps, depending on the dimensions of the block itself and the selected divider. In this way, one mold can also be used for producing functional concrete steps, without the need for additional tools or special molds.

With roof cap insert – blocks with a roof-shaped top

The roof cap insert is intended for producing the final, upper row of a wall, also known as the wall cap. Its shape enables efficient drainage of water from the top of the structure, preventing water retention and reducing the possibility of damage caused by long-term exposure to atmospheric influences.  In addition to its protective function, the roof cap insert also contributes to greater safety.

With beam through insert – blocks with openings

This insert enables the production of precise openings through concrete blocks, making their mutual connection and additional reinforcement of the structure easier. The openings formed in this way are intended for inserting reinforcement bars, steel elements, or connecting beams, creating a stronger connection between the blocks and significantly increasing the stability of the entire structure.

With forklift insert – blocks with forklift handling openings

The forklift insert enables the production of concrete blocks with integrated openings for forklift handling, significantly simplifying their lifting, transportation, and positioning. In this way, the blocks can be easily handled during production, storage, and installation, without the need for additional clamps or special equipment.

With edge profile insert – blocks 160x40x80 cm

The edge insert enables pouring concrete up to half of the mold width, producing narrow concrete blocks measuring 160x40x80 cm, meaning blocks that have half the width of a standard interlocking block. In this way, the same mold can be used for producing different block formats, according to the requirements of a specific project.

With T-block insert - T-profile blocks

The T-block insert enables the production of concrete foundation blocks, which are used to create a stable and solid base for a wall. Such blocks are particularly important in the construction of higher structures, where additional safety and load-bearing capacity of the entire structure are required. Thanks to their specific geometry, T-blocks evenly distribute the load and create a reliable base for placing subsequent rows of the wall.

With ground-level L insert – lower-level blocks

The ground-level L insert enables the production of lower-level concrete blocks, intended for different types of smaller projects, as well as for the construction of lower-height retaining walls. These blocks represent a practical solution for situations where it is necessary to arrange a space simply and efficiently while maintaining the stability and durability of the structure.

With bench insert – bench-shaped blocks

The bench insert enables the production of concrete blocks specially shaped so that, after installation, they can serve as functional and stable benches. These elements represent a practical and innovative solution for arranging public and commercial spaces, where a simple construction principle achieves a combination of functionality, durability, and modern design.

With flower pot insert – flower pot-shaped blocks

The flower pot insert enables the production of concrete blocks with an integrated space for planting, creating a practical and decorative element for space arrangement for use in yards, gardens, business premises, public areas, and urban zones. Such blocks provide a simple way to enrich concrete structures with greenery and introduce natural elements into different environments.

With barrier insert – road barrier-shaped blocks

The barrier insert enables the production of concrete blocks in the shape of a Jersey road barrier, which is used for efficient separation and protection of different areas. These elements represent a practical solution in situations where a physical barrier needs to be installed quickly, with the possibility of simple relocation and reuse.

With L-block insert for retaining walls – L-profile blocks

The L-block insert for retaining walls enables the production of concrete blocks in the shape of an L profile, intended for the construction of stable and reliable retaining walls. Such elements represent an efficient solution for various applications, from landscaping and terrain shaping to slope stabilisation and ensuring safety at demanding locations. Thanks to their specific geometry, the L profile enables the construction of strong structures capable of withstanding large loads and long-term exposure to different operating conditions.

Conclusion

By using different inserts within one basic mold, the customer achieves significant savings with BlueMolds compared to purchasing separate molds for each of the mentioned castings. The flexibility in the production of prefabricated elements is also significantly greater compared to the use of special molds, because the configuration of the basic mold can be easily and quickly adjusted up until the moment of pouring the concrete. Even in cases where the same insert is used repeatedly, there is no need to remove and install it again every time the mold is opened and closed. The entire working process remains equally simple as when using classic special molds intended for individual castings.
