Halfen FPA new to the Modersohn Product Range
With the introduction of the Halfen FPA façade panel anchor system into the portfolio of Wilhelm Modersohn GmbH & Co. KG, parent company Leviat continues the strategy initiated last year of leveraging the synergies of its strongest industry brands to the benefit of customers and partners.
Modersohn and Halfen are well-established brands in the development, manufacture, and distribution of fixing systems for brick veneer masonry and precast concrete façades.
Modersohn and Halfen have now also streamlined their sales portfolios for construction products serving the precast concrete industry. Effective immediately, Leviat’s product brands will complement one another’s ranges with relevant solutions for precast concrete fixing applications.
A key development for Modersohn is the introduction of the Halfen FPA façade panel anchor. Similar to its Modersohn counterpart, the MOSO FB-H suspension tension anchor, the Halfen fixing system enables fast and straightforward anchoring of a concrete façade panel to a concrete backing layer. However, the Halfen system has been designed to significantly simplify the manufacturing process compared with the Modersohn solution. As a result, production of the Modersohn suspension tension anchor will be gradually phased out and replaced by the Halfen FPA façade panel anchor system.
Based in Spenge, Modersohn not only recognizes the economic advantages of this product alignment but also sees considerable benefits for customers. Modersohn and Halfen customers will gain access to a broader product portfolio as well as enhanced technical support. In addition, stock levels for façade panel anchors and related accessories will be expanded, resulting in improved product availability and optimized delivery conditions.
The companies have also enhanced their application software for designers and engineers. The software used to calculate quantities and weights of components, materials, and structural elements has been further optimized.
Oliver Holleber, Head of the Façade Business Segment at Leviat, comments: “At Modersohn, we now use the Halfen design software when configuring FPA system components. The Modersohn quantity take-off tool, which is already familiar to designers and engineers, can seamlessly import the data exported from the Halfen software.”
The application software is available for free download from the Halfen and Modersohn websites.
