Great ideas start with conversation

Expertise is generated in various ways. It can, of course, be found in professional articles, studies or technical documentation. That’s exactly what we do every day at BFT. Nevertheless, over the past few years, I have repeatedly experienced that some topics truly come into focus only in face-to-face conversations. During a plant visit, a tour of the facilities or on the sidelines of an event, the very questions to which there are no simple answers often come up. And it’s not uncommon that experience from a specific sector of industry provides the crucial thought-provoking impulse.

This applies in particular to mixing technology. It’s the heart of every concrete plant and, at the same time, an area where countless variables interact. Raw materials, mix designs, machinery, and wear and tear all influence one another. There’s rarely a magic formula. This makes it all the more valuable to take a look at other plants and exchange ideas with people who face similar challenges every day.

That is exactly why we, together with Kortmann Beton GmbH, invite you to Schüttorf, in Lower Saxony, Germany, on 8 October 2026. Our BFT Mixing Technology Forum is designed to be one thing above all else: a place for professional exchange. There will, of course, be exciting presentations as well as a tour of the new Kortmann mixing tower. But just as important are the conversations that take place in between.

If you’ve read this editorial this far, you  may well be exactly the kind of person for whom we are  organizing the BFT Mixing Technology Forum. All that’s left for you is your registration at: https://bauverlag-events.de/event/bft-fachforum-mischtechnik/. I look forward to meeting you in person in Schüttorf.
