FCN System Construction with Lightweight Concrete Wall Elements

Building in a contemporary style while keeping construction costs under control—this is possible with the proven system shell construction from F.C. Nüdling Fertigteiltechnik GmbH + Co. KG. The floor-to-ceiling wall elements made of lightweight concrete stand out in the cost-sensitive residential construction sector thanks to their high quality and are becoming increasingly popular due to the FCN Group’s sophisticated logistics concept and central location.

Special architectural requirements can also be met with FCN’s system shell construction. The well-thought-out detailed solutions, combined with industrial and custom manufacturing, are highly appreciated by architects, developers, and building owners alike. A high degree of prefabrication ensures an optimized, safe, and fast construction process.

The flat wall elements facilitate interior finishing and façade design for subsequent trades. Since the drying process of the lightweight concrete elements begins at the factory, only minimal residual moisture remains during the shell construction phase. Additionally, the ability to construct virtually regardless of weather conditions is another key advantage of the FCN system shell construction.

Rapid Construction Progress and Custom Architecture

In the production of the wall elements, a porous lightweight concrete with varying proportions of expanded clay is used, depending on strength and bulk density. This gives the components generally good thermal and acoustic properties. Also worth mentioning are the good fire resistance ratings as well as the excellent moisture protection properties. The system is designed for energy-efficient construction and supports the implementation of buildings in accordance with GEG, KfW 55, KfW 40, and QNG certification.

In addition to the solid walls – which can be optionally finished with factory-applied interior plaster—the package also includes floor slabs and stairs. Empty boxes and conduits for electrical installations, as well as recesses for heating and plumbing installations, can be incorporated into the wall elements. In addition, FCN offers a coordinated basement system. This allows the entire shell construction to be planned and built “from a single source.” Both the contractor and the building owners benefit from the time and cost savings.

Further information is available in the new informational brochure “Fast, economical, and safe to the finished shell.” It can be downloaded from the FCN media library on the Internet.
