Axel C. Heitmann is still Chairman

At its meeting on August 10, the Supervisory Board of Lanxess AG appointed Dr. Axel C. Heitmann (51) as Chairman of the Board of Management of Lanxess AG for a further five years.


The new mandate will begin as of July 1, 2012. Heitmann has been Chairman of the Board of Management of Lanxess AG since September 2004. “Dr. Heitmann and his team have turned Lanxess into a global ope­rating company with close to 16,000 employees. Under his leadership, Lanxess has been a remarkable success story. That is why I am delighted that he will continue to lead the company in the future, in close and friendly cooperation with the Supervisory Board and employee representatives,” said Dr. Rolf Stomberg, Chairman of the ­Supervisory Board.¢
