Lafarge: Positive development in
the first quarter of 2012

Lafarge records a positive development of the revenue and sales volume in the first quarter of 2012 - this applies to all business segments and to a major part of its markets, in particular the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin and North America. In the 1st quarter, the overall revenue increased by 5% compared to the previous year. The operating income sharply increased by 28%. Despite this, the results of the 1st quarter have a seasonal character as experience shows.
