New year, new luck

It’s hard to believe that another year has already gone by,” as the one or other reader of BFT will think in these days. For us, too, the year 2019 passed in no time at all with much happening: the year was rung in with important industry events, like the 63rd BetonTage, followed by the restructuring of the editorial office of BFT in March and ending with the December issue fresh off the press.

But the coming year 2020 will hardly be less challenging. As announced, the BetonTage in their 64th edition will be extended by an additional event day – and BFT, as the media partner of the FBF for many years, will again be right in the middle of it. The Future Day for the Construction Industry and the Innovation Forum will introduce interesting innovations (also see announcement on pp. 48 ff). The BIBM Congress in Copenhagen will follow in May (see preview on p. 52 ff), accompanied by the partners FBF Betondienst and Bauverlag. In addition, BFT International will offer its own event formats, once again in the coming year, as in the previous technical forums Wetcast and Mixing Technology – about which we will also keep you informed in due time.

Now, as 2019 and the 85th publication year of BFT are nearing their end, we want under no circumstances neglect to express our thanks to our readers; our partners from associations, economy and science; all our advertising clients at home and abroad – as well as our out-of-house technical authors, translators and service providers for their many years of loyalty. Regular positive feedback from all of you encourages us to continue with full commitment on the path we have taken.

It remains for me only to wish you, in the name of the entire BFT team, happy Christmas holidays and a good start into a successful new year 2020.
