Dear ladies and gentlemen,

the BetonTage greet you for the first time in May and though current
economic forecasts  evoke little spring feelings, we with the largest European specialist congress in this sector of industry and a fully booked out exhibition are, especially now, the impulse-giver for innovations in sustainable building with concrete and concrete elements. We are in the midst of comprehensive transformation, which is also taking place in the construction industry and in which serial, modular building plays a central role. Lightweight construction, in particular, which is in many ways evolving with precast concrete elements, and on which we here especially focusing on, is an innovative driving force. In addition, rapidly developing digitization in our industry is driving us on.

 “Shaping transformation” means for us presenting concrete solutions for significantly reducing the CO₂ footprint of construction. Research and practice, start-ups and committed “alpha wolves” of the industry have their say, the same as key players on the material side, such as cement, alternative binders as well as concrete chemistry. Toward this goal we have created our new format, with live-video podcasts on the TalkConcrete platform at which prestigious decision-makers of the above-named key industries as well as representatives of the agencies for certification of sustainable systems personally make their contribution to transformation on the media stage.

This year, too, we are connecting in the network the entire value-added chain of building: architects, consulting engineers, manufacturers of concrete elements and construction companies as well as the innovative supplier industry, with presentations in a broader format than ever before.
