This comparison of concepts describes the different manufacturing possibilities and key aspects of the same. The following article has been held as a speech on the occasion of the Engineering Days (in Vienna early December 2009).
Manufacturing of two-dimensional solid elements is gaining more and more in importance because many companies search for alternatives to the highly competitive market of standard precast elements, such as precast floor slabs and double wall elements. Furthermore, manufacturing of solid walls provides a considerably wider range of design options and types resulting in higher added values.
