Three new board members at Peikko: Liina Jukko, Karen Scrivener, and Teppo Voutilainen

Peikko Group has appointed three new non-executive members to its Board of Directors. The new members were elected by the Extraordinary Annual General Meeting of Peikko Group, and their term will start on the 1st of October 2022.

Liina Jukko, M.Sc. Theoretical Physics, is a PhD student in theoretical cosmology at King's College London, in the United Kingdom. She is a third-generation member of the Paananen family, the family that owns Peikko Group Corporation.

Karen Scrivener, PhD in Materials Science from Imperial College London, in the United Kingdom, has been Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Construction Materials in the Department of Materials of EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne) for the last 20 years. She is a Fellow of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering and the author of over 200 journal papers. Karen Scrivener will bring strong know-how of both sustainability and material matters onto Peikko’s Board.

Teppo Voutilainen, M.Sc. Industrial Engineering and Management, is the Head of Volume Elevators for New Equipment Business at KONE Corporation. KONE Corporation is a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, headquartered in Finland. Teppo Voutilainen will bring strong know-how of the construction business and of the Asia market into Peikko’s Board, having lived in Asia for 15 years.

Philippe Jost, Head of Construction at Sika Group, continues as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The board members Elmar Paananen (member since 2004), Kasper Guldager Jensen (member since 2017), and Paul Rehn (member since 2018) will end their term by the end of 2022. The effort of all three of them has been significant in the development of Peikko into the industry leading role it holds today. The other Board members continue as before: Morten la Cour Ørnstrand-Soborg, Managing Director of Knauf Denmark and Anu Ahola, Senior Vice President, News & Retail Business Unit at UPM.
