The Sülzle Group was honored as a finalist in the Material Wholesale category at the 18th German Sustainability Award (DNP) in Düsseldorf. Maximilian Sülzle and Björn van Deest accepted the award on behalf of the entire group of companies on December 5, 2025. The evening took place as part of the two-day DNP Congress—Germany's largest transformation congress, at which the finalists and award winners for 2026 were honored.
Transformation of the economy and society
The German Sustainability Award is considered the most important award for ecological and social commitment in Europe. It honors companies that contribute in an exemplary manner to the sustainable transformation of the economy and society. A high-caliber jury of experts selected the finalists and award winners, including renowned names such as Jungheinrich, Wilo, Uvex Group, Fjällräven, Schüco, ZDF, and Liebherr.
Sustainability as a driver of innovation in the economy
“Sustainability has long been a driver of innovation in the economy,” explains Stefan Schulze-Hausmann, initiator of the DNP. “The winners show that products that benefit the environment and society are also economically successful. The future is created where responsibility becomes strategy.”
The Sülzle Group impressed as a finalist with its holistic and visionary sustainability strategy. Sustainability and climate protection are firmly anchored in the company's philosophy and shape its actions across all business areas. One example is the sustainable Stoox reinforcing steel, which sets new standards with a clear carbon footprint and is already being used successfully in the construction of Hamburg's U5 subway line. In addition, the group of companies develops innovative system solutions for closed environmental and energy cycles in the fields of plant engineering, building services, and environmental technology.
“Reaching the final is an incentive for us to continue consistently on the path we have chosen. For us, sustainability is more than just a goal—it connects generations and creates the future,” explains Maximilian Sülzle.
