The Peri Group has published its 2025 Sustainability Report. In it, the company provides information on measures and progress in the areas of emissions reduction, circular economy, and social responsibility. For the first time, the report voluntarily aligns with the requirements of the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
As part of its “Building Sustainability 2030” program, Peri states that it is pursuing goals in the areas of zero emissions, circularity, and social responsibility. The report describes measures across the value chain—from reducing emissions and developing recyclable products to social engagement.
“For us, ESG is not just something we comply with because it’s required by law. Acting sustainably has always been part of our identity and is in our DNA. As a family-owned company, we make our decisions with future generations in mind,” says Christian Schwörer, CEO of the Peri Group.
Measures to Reduce Emissions
According to the company, approximately 25% of the forklifts in use worldwide are now electric. In addition, 21 photovoltaic systems have been installed in 14 countries, which are expected to save more than 3,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually. Since 2021, all Peri locations worldwide have been using 100% green electricity.
In the area of circular economy, Peri states that it continues to focus on durable and reusable products, as well as rental and leasing models, take-back systems, and the use of sustainable materials.
Voluntary Alignment with the CSRD
In the area of social responsibility, the company is active in fields such as education, culture, sports, and nature. A key focus is on building schools in developing countries.
“Sustainability makes us more efficient, innovative, and resilient. At the same time, it strengthens our future viability as a company and makes a concrete contribution to sustainable construction,” says Andreas Mayer, Head of Corporate Sustainability.
With its 2025 Sustainability Report, Peri is voluntarily aligning itself with the requirements of the CSRD for the first time, thereby preparing for future reporting standards. The report is available for download on the company’s website: https://www.peri.com/en/company/sustainability.html
