Maba Hungaria Kft. is once again fully part of the Kirchdorfer Group

Maba Hungaria Kft., one of the leading manufacturers of prestressed concrete sleepers in Hungary, is once again fully integrated into the Kirchdorfer Group with immediate effect. The aim is to bundle the competencies within the group even more closely and to coordinate the product range optimally - to the benefit of the Hungarian railroad infrastructure.

Maba Hungaria Kft. has been creating secure jobs at the Várpalota site for over 20 years and is a reliable partner for both private companies and the state railroad companies MÁV Zrt. and GYSEV Zrt. The company has close ties with the region and relies on cooperation with local specialists.

“Full integration means stability and continuity for our partners. At the same time, we remain a Hungarian company with a strong regional presence and responsibility for the domestic labor market. We see ourselves as a competence center for the production of concrete elements in the railroad infrastructure sector,” emphasizes Managing Director Béla Steinhauer.

With modern technology and high capacity, Maba Hungaria Kft. is able to develop customized solutions for various railroad companies at home and abroad. The sleepers are manufactured exactly to the required specifications, equipped with modern rail fastening systems, pre-assembled and delivered to the construction site just-in-time if required.

The company also has extensive experience in the manufacture of sleepers with undershoes. Almost 100,000 concrete sleepers with vibration dampers were supplied as part of the modernization of the railroad line on the southern shore of Lake Balaton. The product range includes sleepers for main and branch lines, suburban and light railroads, special applications and narrow-gauge railroads.

Maba Hungaria Kft. is also active internationally: its products are used on railroad lines and in Switzerland, among other places. In the near future, the company plans to play an active role in the development of railroad infrastructure in the markets of neighboring countries as well.
